Mental Distortion

Life can be a long and winding blur, spotted with moments of clarity and understanding that become buoys in our living memory never to be forgotten. Birthdays, weddings, accidents, triumphs, ex-girlfriends: all moments in our lives that we’ll never forget. But what about the rest of our lives? Sure, we go to school to cram as much information into our heads as possible, intended to help us get jobs, find a place to live and supply us with food and beverage for nourishment. But as we all know, it’s the random information that sticks with us most, those oddities both bizarre and interesting that manage to stick in our head. Whether they be sports stats, situation comedies, movies, a good book or a catchy phrase, it’s this unimportant and ultimately useless information that we strive for to help enrich our lives and make it bearable.

This site is dedicated to nothing specific or focused on any particular topic. Generally I have a keen interest in politics, the arts and technology, but if something interesting happens in the world, or if I come across something interesting and feel that it is worth sharing with the rest of the online world or even have a thought or question that I want to explain, I will place it on this site, mentaldistortion.net, for you to enjoy.

I hope you talk back.
